Holiday Gifts for the Young Musician!

The season of giving is upon us!  Looking for a unique gift for your young musician or music enthusiast?  Don’t know where to turn?  Any music store is a great starting point, but there are also great music catalogs and internet sites to aide you in your search for just the right gift.  MusicTime, Inc., nearby in Voorhees, is a wonderful store for music books, accessories and small gift items.  It is located on Dumont Court adjacent to the Charles Dumont Publishing Co.  If it is published, MusicTime will have it.  Two other wonderful companies are “The Music Stand” and “Friendship House:”  You can order their catalog or visit them at www.themusicstand.com and www.friendshiphouse.com.  They sell a variety of unique gifts, CD’s and books.  Another resource is Musician’s Friend.  You contact them at musiciansfriend.com.

I definitely encourage you to check out our affiliate retailers Music and Arts and City Music Center.  I know that Music and Arts is currently running some promotions that can save you some money on various supplies and instruments.

If you are thinking of putting a shiny, brand new violin/viola/cello under that tree, I encourage you to definitely do some shopping around.  Many music stores will let you try out the instruments before you purchase.  However, that might make a surprise a little more difficult.  One company I swear by is an internet company called Shar Music.  They have a program where you can borrow instruments before you purchase, letting you try them out so you can make the best decision.

My favorite brands of stringed instruments are Knilling and Eastman.  Great quality and affordable prices.

As always, I am here to help you with all your music equipment, accessories and instrument needs.  Just drop me a line!

Keep the excitement going or reward a hard worker with a special gift during this holiday season.
